History

The Wild South brand was founded in New Zealand in 1995 by a couple of like minded individuals, intent on making their mark in the New Zealand clothing industry. Soon after it was established it was purchased by Kauri Clothing Ltd who remains the guardian of the Wild South brand today.

Finding a home at Kauri Clothing, an entirely New Zealand owned and operated company with its origins in clothing manufacturing, was a natural fit for Wild South.

2004 marked a turning point for the brand as it sought to establish a presence in the fashion clothing market and set a course for future.

From the humble begins of the first store in Colombo St Christchurch, we have grown to 16 stores throughout New Zealand.

Our sights though, remain firmly set on the future!
