17 June 2010
It has been a couple of months now since our last update - we have all been working hard to make sure our stores were looking fantastic and our Winter Range was instore and ready for when our customers needed it (and given the weather lately you really have needed it to keep warm!)
Our stores are looking fresh, with special wallpaper providing a "Window into our world" - showing beautiful NZ scenery that makes you appreciate what a special country we live in. With images including the Abel Tasman beach, the ruggedly beautiful McKenzie Basin and the deep South of the Kelper track - it shows a diversity that can be found nowhere else in the world.

To ensure that our customers look great in this wonderful country of ours, our designers have been working hard to produce a winter range that is not only full of style, but functional as well. Our new range of Merino Essentials (From $79.90) - made right here in Christchurch, is an example of a product that will help keep you warm this winter. And when layered with our puffer jackets, and Designer merino knitwear, you can be confident that you will be looking amazing!
Ski season has just started - and once again we will be sponsoring Porters Skifield. There are huge plans for this skifield, and we look forward to working with them as they grow.

We love to hear from our customers - and appreciate any feedback on our products or instore service. So send us a comment through either our website - or on our Facebook or Twitter pages.

Just to let everyone know - all event vouchers are no longer valid at Wild South stores. Only those that are from the 2010 Graperide will be accepted. The vouchers are not be used in conjunction with any other offer, and only one voucher per person per sale.
25 March 2010
On Saturday 27th of March will be the 101 km cycle race known as The Forrest Estate Graperide. Wild South are proudly sponsoring this event once again - and competitors will be able to find a little something special in their race packs!

We hope your training has gone well, and that you are looking forward to this amazing event. Good luck to all competitors and to Pete (the organiser) - we hope that it will be a great day!
12 March 2010
The Ellerslie Flower Show is in full swing - and huge crowds have been making their way through the exhibits despite the inclement weather.
We had a quick look around this morning and saw some amazing displays - we thoroughly recommend you go and visit if you are in the Christchurch region.

Our Summer sale is nearing an end, and here at Wild South we are all go getting our new look ready for the stores in a couple of weeks time. It is going to be a nice change from our previous look - and is definitely going to be exciting! Dan is hard at work laminating and cutting posters, while Hannah is making sure all the printing is running to schedule. We have setup a poster trial at our Ferrymead store - so if you are in Christchurch you can check it out (and let us know what you think).
It has been a busy few weeks with events happening around the country - the Great Lake Relay went very well a few weeks ago - with the team getting in around the 14 hour mark (which is a stellar effort!)
The Wild South Team run into the finish. Note Geoff and his Jandals!
 A run well done!
There has also been a few Wild South customers doing well in their respective events - with Alix Sinclair and Fiona Lafferty completing their 4th Ironman event respectively! An amazing effort - well done!
We hope you all have been enjoying the late summer - and make sure you come in and see us when the cold snap hits (our Autumn/Winter range has started to arrive instore already!)
18 February 2010
The New Year has come and gone - and we are now at the tail end of what has been a mixed summer (some sun, some rain but still warm enough to get out there and enjoy yourself!) Today we are kicking off our Summer Sale, with lots of amazing bargains ripe for the picking.

As well as our summer sale there is lot going on in the world of Wild South. On Saturday we have the Great Lake Relay - where Gabby and Geoff are leading the Wild South sponsored team to make it around the lake.

There is also the "Girls on Bikes" event in Methven, as well as a host of other fun things to do all around the country. Our designers have been hard at work making sure our autumn/winter range is ready to hit the shelves in a month or so - and I have to admit, it is looking pretty sharp. Not only do we have items that perfectly match the kiwi lifestyle, but 50% of it is being made here in our Christchurch factory! With other retailers moving more and more product offshore, we have been able to increase our NZ made programme, which is great for both us and our very talented factory team!
We will be sending out a Wild Survey with the next VIP newsletter, so make sure you fill it in to go in the draw to win some great prizes. Let us know what you think, because we are designing clothing for the New Zealand lifestyle - and you are living it!
4 November 2009
Time flies when you are having fun (or just busy for that matter!) – and there has been a lot going on here over the last month or so.
Our spring range has been doing well in-store, and now our Summer products are starting to fill up the shelves in the warehouse, ready to be sent to our stores in the next couple of weeks. We have some beautiful NZ Made merino products coming through – well done to the Factory team for doing an amazing job making such high quality products.
The next couple of weeks are going to be a bit crazy for us here at Wild South – we have the Royal New Zealand Show from the 11th November through to the 13th November here in Christchurch, where we will be proudly showcasing a wide range of our New Zealand Lifestyle clothing.

Over that time we will also be running our brand new Wild South TV commercial! This has been an exciting process working with the great team at Whitebait TV. Look out for the advert appearing on TVOne from the 10th November. We will put it on YouTube as soon as it’s run – so everyone can enjoy.

Watch this space – as we will try to keep our blog updates coming over next week – letting you know how well the show is going!
5 October 2009
We can't believe that it is October already! Our monthly voucher draw has just been made - and the winner was Angela B from Dunedin. Angela - your Wild South gift voucher is in the mail!
15 September 2009
Well it has almost been a month since our last blog entry - and what a crazy month it has been! We have been solidly working at producing our spring range (and spring theme instore). Jo and Clare (our designers) have been flat out to make sure that our spring range is looking amazing - and it has now started to hit the shelves.

We even have a new range of New Zealand made women's fashion skirts instore, which have been proudly made in our Christchurch factory.

Our posters are another huge part of our spring transformation. There is quite a process in getting these ready for the stores - from Garry (our photographer) taking the photos, to Hannah designing the posters and printing them, to Dan cutting them out, Hannah packaging them and then being sent to the stores by Anna (to be put up instore by our amazing retail staff).

This all helps produce our "Spring Spirit" look and feel instore. We would love to hear any comments that you have - so feel free to drop us an e-mail at Marketing@kauriclothing.co.nz or Join our Facebook or Twitter groups (from our homepage).
18 August 2009
We always love to see New Zealanders wearing Wild South, whether it be someone walking down the street or someone in the news. Today in "The Press" Sir Richard Hadlee was seen wearing our Awakino Merino Jersey while promoting his book "Changing Pace". It offers a number of interesting insights into the world of Cricket - and will definitely generate a bit of discussion! (and it is a great option if you're at a loss for Fathers Day coming up on the 6th September!)

If you have a photo of you or your friends out enjoying the New Zealand Lifestyle - then e-mail them to Marketing@kauriclothing.co.nz and we will put them up on our Facebook page, so you can show your support for Wild South!

Congratulations to Willie Parker, the July winner of the Wild South Monthly Web draw!
30 July 2009
Wild South is proud to support Animal Academy - a Whitebait TV production for TVNZ's Channel 6. Sarah Ulmer and Jeremy Maguire are the hosts of this show - and you can spot them wearing Wild South while out and about with a variety of animals.

And see Jeremy talking about the new season on Good Morning (wearing a Wild South Equilibrium!)...

Also we have just received photos from the Daily Post in Rotorua - who ran an extremely successful "Home and Leisure Show" in Rotorua on the 17th - 19th of July. They were all kitted out in our Supernova Jackets - and looked very smart!

The winter weeks are flying by, and although things are getting colder outside we are getting excited here at Wild South. Winter brings with it the wonders of the ski season, and this year (like previous years), we are sponsoring Porters skifield. So Uli and the team will all be wearing our Supernova Jackets up on the skifield - protecting them against any harsh weather (and making sure they look great!). Porters is the closest skifield to Christchurch - so if you're local - (or are heading this way) then we hope to see you up on the slopes!

Also - a big congratulations to Fiona Taylor - winner of the July web-voucher draw. It was a bit of a mission to track her down, but we got there in the end!
29 June 2009
It's amazing what you find when you're out and about in New Zealand. A trip to Oamaru in the weekend by one of our team members saw them discover some curious formations along the waterfront. Apparently these "Pillow Lava" formations are created by lava flowing into the sea, and the salt water cooling the outside of the lava, while the middle is still piping hot. It ends up creating the following...
Pillow Lava on the Oamaru Coast
If you ever come across any amazing or interesting sights during your travels around the country - then we would love to see/hear about them. E-mail your snaps to Marketing@kauriclothing.co.nz
On a side note - if you have been watching "Stars in Their Eyes" on TV, then we recommend that you vote for Mandy Pickering. Not that we are showing favouritism, but Mandy was a model for us last winter. See her sing here, and make sure you vote for her tomorrow!
23 June 2009
It has been a busy few weeks behind the scenes as we prepare for our Winter poster changeout. A great deal of designing, printing, cutting and packaging of these posters, so they are all in-store ready to be unveiled.
Today - these posters will be put up in-store, so make sure you come on down to check them out. A huge thank you to Hannah (our Graphic Designer) and Dan (normally our screen-printer but very handy when it comes to cutting and packaging posters!) who have made sure that these posters look amazing and have got to stores on time.
Simon and Meri - Our Wild South Models having fun (and looking great!)
Also - our Marketing Manager Paul almost managed to slip this past us, but he has been made larger than life on a billboard for the University of Canterbury. Good to see you wearing Wild South with pride!

15 June 2009
Last week was the National Agricultural Fieldays, held at Mystery Creek just out of Hamilton. It is always an amazing event - and well worth a visit. Our Marketing Manager shot up to Hamilton to visit a number of our customers - just to make sure that their Wild South gear was exceeding their expectations.
Although the weather wasn't really conducive to strolling around in jandals, the red-band gumboots definitely were worth their weight in gold! And with the rain falling heavily on all days - our Supernova Jackets were perfect for keeping the Ravensdown team comfortable and dry.
 Ravensdown Marquee
Kia Motors had a great few days, selling lots of vehicles - probably because they were wearing our ultra-comfortable Equilibrium Merino tops! Let's not forget Livestock Improvement, also keeping warm in their Awakino Merino jerseys.
 Inside the LIC Area...
It was great to see all our customers out their doing well over the 4 days, and you never know, we might even have a Wild South store at the show next year...
On a light note - we hope you have checked out the Scary Washing Machine Auction on Trademe. Great Kiwi humour - a good laugh is a great way to start the week!
3 June 2009
We are always looking at new ways to let everyone know what is going at Wild South - so have just setup our own Facebook page! So if you are on Facebook, and would like to be a fan of Wild South - then just click on the below link.

We hope to see you on Facebook soon!
28 May 2009
In order to get ready for Winter, we have been developing our new posters (for our store fronts) that typify the Wild South way of life. We thought what better way to celebrate winter than to have a bit of "Wild" fun.
After putting the call out to our customers for who would like to be a Wild South model - we picked Simon (who helped us out last time) and Meri to portray "Winter at Wild South".
First we had to pick a theme - and so we went with the "water" concept which we have used before (there is always plenty of water during winter!). Considering it was a super cold day in Christchurch we decided not to pour water all over the models - but instead let them have a bit of fun. Garry Senior (our photographer) set up a big pool of water in his studio...
Water - ready to be wild!
The Wild South Graphic Designer - making her own splash!
We then got our models dressed up in the latest Wild South gear to make sure they were completely comfortable throughout the shoot.
Simon - ready for action And Make-up Artist Julie-Ann preparing Meri for her close-up
Meri's stunning smile won us over!
They then jumped in the pool and Garry started shooting away.

So keep an eye out in-store in the next few weeks, as you will see Meri and Simon showing off the latest Wild South gear - perfect for this Winter Wonderland we call New Zealand!
20 May 2009
Time flies when you are having fun - and it definitely feels like this year is racing by for us here at Wild South. Our Autumn season is almost over and our new winter products are now instore. We have updated our website (check out the latest Men's and Women's styles), and we are preparing for our next big photoshoot (which is always great fun!). The model search was extremely successful (a huge thank you to all of our wonderful applicants), and we are looking forward to new winter images instore and in magazines in a few weeks time.
And to top things off, we have come up with a sure-fire way to beat the recession - offer great quality products at value for money prices! We believe in our products, and challenge any potential customer to compare our quality and prices against other brands.
Not only do we offer Wild South products through our retail stores, but we also supply to businesses and organisations. Just yesterday we saw our Awakino Merino Jersey (NZ Made) on the front page of Business section of "the Press". Congratulations to Bryn and the Metalcraft Team, looking very sharp!

And as a brief aside - our wonderful Manager at Wild South - Remarkables Park Queenstown recently went on holiday to South America, travelling to Peru, Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina. She sent in a bunch of photos, and here are just a couple to show that like Wild South customers, our staff like to head out on a few adventures of our own!

We love hearing from our customers who like to get out there and do fun things - because that is part of what makes us Kiwis. We recently received some great feedback from Paul, who heralds from our Southern-most city of Invercargill. A few weeks ago he completed the Tokyo Marathon - battling strong winds to complete the 42.195 km in a very respectable time. And what we really love about Paul's story - was that he did it wearing a New Zealand Made Wild South Merino top!
Paul - ready to run in Wild South!! And Marathon Complete - Well Done!!!
If anyone else would like to share their adventures, then feel free to e-mail us at Marketing@kauriclothing.co.nz, and we will put it up on our blog - to encourage others to get out there and enjoy themselves!
28 April 2009
If you missed out attending the Graperide, then click on this link to see how the day progressed (and you might spot event organiser Pete Halligan wearing a New Zealand made Wild South Merino (under his high-vis vest!) to keep him warm on the cold/crisp Marlborough morning.
Our website has been updated over the last week - so there are now a lot more Autumn styles available for those that are unable to get to a store. We have also just seen a couple of big trucks pull up outside, so even more new styles will be online and in-store soon!
Check out the new New Zealand Made Merino's (Men's - and Women's) and our awesome Polar Vests (70% down and 30% feather with a Wool Blend Collar - Men's and Women's). These are just some of the products that we think are perfect for Autumn/Winter - and they are selling out quickly so don't miss out!
We hope that everyone had a great ANZAC weekend - and managed to get to a service to remember those who gave their lives fighting for this amazing country of ours.
Speaking of remembering - coming up in the next couple of weeks is Mothers Day (10th May) - so don't forget your Mum and get her something special to say thanks. (We can make it easy with a range of gift vouchers for those that are at a loss for presents!!)
09 April 2009
We almost forgot - congratulations to Stu from Christchurch, the lucky recipient of the monthly web draw!
We would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter - and hope that you make the most of the days off. The team here all have exciting plans - rain, hail or shine we are going to get out there and enjoy ourselves (ranging from the laid back plans to daring adventures!)
Make sure you come into a Wild South store near you - we have heaps of new products hitting the shelves, so make sure you check them out! If the weather is slightly inclement - then make sure you check out our Autumn range of New Zealand Merino - it will keep you toasty and warm, whatever the weather.

What a great weekend. If you happened to be in or around the top of the South Island on Saturday, you may well have seen the thousands of people on their bikes doing the Graperide in Marlborough. Congrats to the Wild South team members that completed the 101km ride - I'm sure you enjoyed the magnificent weather and beautiful scenery through Blenheim and around the Marlborough Sounds.
A big well done to Pete Halligan and the Top of the South Events team, the event went like clockwork, and everyone we talked to had an absolute ball. We hope all those competitors enjoy their $10 vouchers to spend at Wild South - to get you into the latest New Zealand Lifestyle Clothing. We have our new autumn styles coming in-store now, so make sure you come in and don't miss out!
We love getting out and enjoying New Zealand and all that it has to offer. This weekend our team did everything from road bike races, to mountain bike races, to attending food shows to just relaxing at the beach!
Keep an eye out on our blog and we will hopefully get a few photos up of the Graperide - so you can put in in your calendar for next year!
26 March 2009
Never keen to sit on our backsides and not enjoy a weekend - Wild South have just confirmed their sponsorship of the 2009 Graperide (www.graperide.co.nz) - which is next weekend, Saturday 4th April. We are getting right in behind Pete and the team organising this great event - and you can be assured that he will be wearing Wild South when racing around organising everything. Also good luck to a couple of the team here at Wild South - Anna and Will are training hard for this event and we wish them all the best!
Just in time for this event we have released our new New Zealand Made Merino cycling tops - just in case people want a nice breathable/warm top to warm-up in or if it is going to be an average day in Marlborough! Check out the Men's and Women's Impact tops on our online store.
Last weekend our Marketing Manager was up in Golden Bay, seeing the sights and sounds of this beautiful area. From Pupu Springs through to Farewell Spit, this area is a must visit for all New Zealanders - getting out and enjoying this great country of ours.

It has been a crazy couple of weeks - with our current Kiwi Summer Sale in full swing, photoshoots taking place, and more and more people wearing Wild South.
A huge thanks to Sarah and Simon, who were picked to be the Autumn faces of Wild South. They did a fantastic job at a fun photoshoot, filled with leaves, fans (the windy type) and of course the latest Wild South clothes! A big thank you to Garry Senior our photographer - a great job as per usual. Make sure you grab a copy of the next NZ House and Garden and Next magazines to see our new adverts.
We are always keeping an eye out to see who is wearing Wild South - and this past month our Minister of Agriculture was seen on the cover of an insert magazine in the Christchurch press - proudly wearing one of our NZ inspired t-shirts.
David Carter - Minister of Agriculture in Wild South
We also spotted the Christchurch City Council Events team at the Ellerslie Flower Show - wearing their Supernova Jackets (which we modified just for them!). See the attached video clip of Mark Hadlow on TV3 - Click Here. The Flower show was a huge success, and it was great to see the hard work of the designers and organisers pay off. We all look forward to going again next year.
18 February 2009

In Christchurch, the World Buskers Festival starts today, 11 days of fun and hilarity - so if you live in Christchurch or are passing through, make sure you head along to one of the shows in the Arts Centre - nothing beats a bit of laughter for a fun and relaxing time!

We also have the Great Lake Relay coming up on the 21st of February. This is an amazing event with over 6000 competitors running/walking around the magnificent setting of Lake Taupo. 14 January 2009
We hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas and that you had a great start to the New Year. Our stores were kept busy over the holiday break, and we hope that you all are enjoying your summer Wild South purchases!
Our head office crew managed to get out and about, making the most of the glorious weather. The top of the South was the most frequented holiday destination for us, as we enjoyed the delights of the golden sand beaches as well as the great walks (Heaphy Track and Abel Tasman Track).
 Sunset over the Heaphy River
Not Fiji - but the Wild West Coast!
We would thoroughly recommend anyone to do these great walks - just getting out there and enjoying what our great country has to offer. With such amazing scenery it was hard not to feel completely refreshed coming back to work!
16 December 2008
Christmas is upon us, and it has been all go here at Wild South. Our printer has been churning out posters at an amazing rate (under Hannah's ever watchful eye), and we have been stocking the stores up for the Christmas rush. Make sure you give the gift of Wild South this Christmas - what better way to encourage people to get out there and enjoy what will be an amazing summer!
As it is Christmas time we were moving a few things around to make space in the warehouse, and came across a couple of absolute gems! These posters are a "number" of years old, and originated in the days when our St Asaph Street factory was producing clothes for T and Ski. T and Ski was a brand based around colourful "out-there" designs, which was especially popular with tourists. It was purchased in 1999, and became part of the Kauri Clothing family (which our primary brand today is Wild South).
 Bright, colourful and definitely "retro"
The old Methven "Trading Post" store
Although we don't have these "colourful" designs instore today (thankfully they were left in the 90's!!), they are a part of what makes Wild South an iconic New Zealand brand today.
2 December 2008
It was a busy weekend for sure - there was the Moa Hunt race in Blenheim, which Wild South was proud to be a sponsor of, and the Lake Taupo Challenge, which brought over 10,000 competitors to the shores of Lake Taupo. We hope that everyone who was on a bike in the weekend remembered their sun-screen, because it sure was hot!
Our wonderful team in Taupo were the proud winners of the Taupo Towncentre Window dressing competition. The aim was to promote the Heart Kids of New Zealand charity, and Katerina (Taupo Store Manager) and her team did us proud.

Wild South would like to pass on their condolences to the friends and family of the competitor involved in the weekend's tragic accident.
26 November 2008
Well you may have been wondering what has been happening in the World of Wild South. Well as of today, we have a new store! Wild South in Johnsonville Mall is now officially open - so everyone from the Wellington region can now come in and visit their own local Wild South store.
Richard (Retail Manager) and Paul (Marketing Manager) headed up to Wellington, along with Shelly (Manager of Ferrymead Store) to get everything setup. After many hours of hard work, the store is now open and ready for you to come in and see the latest Wild South products.
The doors about to open... ready for our Wellington fans!
We are now looking for staff to help get Wild South known in the Wellington region, so if you are keen then let us know!
Also - we have been lucky enough to secure a University of Canterbury intern (Will) for the summer. He will be out and about, doing a range of market research to find out more about you our customers - and how we can meet your lifestyle clothing needs. If you want to take part in a survey - then make sure you sign-up to our customer newsletter, and you will be told when it is available (and so you have a chance to win some great Wild South products!!)
10 November 2008
Well the elections are over, and a new government has been chosen. Regardless of who you voted for, you can't help go past the fact that both John Key and Helen Clark have been spotted wearing Wild South!! At least there was one thing they could agree upon!

At Wild South, not only do we love exploring New Zealand, but we also love getting out there and seeing the world! Recently Caroline (the Manager at our Queenstown Airport Store), managed to shoot away to have a break in Switzerland! In true Wild South fashion she and her husband Richard took to the outdoors, and explored the beautiful mountains and valleys - all decked out in Wild South Clothing! Caroline kindly provided us with a few snaps - to show us how much fun her travels were!

Do you ever wonder where Wild South get their cool posters from? Well our tireless graphic designer Hannah produces a constant stream of these posters, to keep our shop-fronts looking fresh and exciting. Not only does she keep coming out with colourful ways to complement our products, she is also the master of our HP-Z6100 large format printer, which has printed over 7 kilometres worth of posters in just over a year!!!

And if you are a fan of the Wild South printed t-shirts - then chances are you might be wearing one of Hannah's many New Zealand inspired designs!!

Things are happening all the time here at Wild South - in fact just last weekend there was the "Hot Fest" promotion up in Rotorua - where the whole town was "Painted Red". A fashion show was held showcasing all the great new summer products out there, and of course Wild South were front and centre. Our Rotorua team really got stuck in, producing a great window and making sure the models looked amazing out there on the cat-walk. Well done team!!

If you have had a search on our website lately you might have seen that Wild South is a major sponsor of the "Moa Hunt" - a Mountain Bike event (which has branched out to include a Mountain Run). There is something for everyone - the 42km Moa Hunt MTB ride, a 21km Mini Moa ride, a 21km Moa Mountain run and a 3km "free" ride for the family. This event is based at Kekerengu - with the start and finish at the Kekerengu Store (approx. 60km North of Kaikoura).
This is an amazing event - and definitely something to work towards. We were so impressed with this event that we decided to become a major sponsor - with every competitor getting a little something in their race packs from Wild South!
Check out the website at www.moahunt.co.nz and make sure that you enter early (as it is bound to be a sell-out!). For your entry you will get a Moa Beer, some Merino Socks, a meal voucher, Wild South goodies, entry into this amazing event and a chance to win a whole bunch of amazing spot prizes (including Mountain bikes, overseas travel etc). This is an event for everyone - so and we will look forward to seeing you there!

For everyone who loves Skiing out there - the season is quickly coming to an end. It was an awesome season for all involved - and this year we were proud to support Porters Skifield (with their staff all dressed in our great Supernova Jackets!). This Sunday is the last day that Porters will be open for the season - so if you're down Christchurch way make sure you head to the skifield for a great day!

Spring is well and truly here - with all this gorgeous weather just in time for the change over to daylight savings (this weekend yay!!). We have been celebrating a little early as our new spring/summer range is starting to hit the store shelves. We have a great range of summer products, including our beautiful super-soft bamboo lycra products. Who knew that bamboo could produce a fabric that feels as soft as silk!
Unfortunately for all those bargain hunters out there it means that we are quickly coming to an end of our Winter Sale! We still have a few items left here and there - so make sure you checkout our website and in-store for some great deals. Stock is quickly being reduced so don't miss out!

Well it was a great weekend for the Tough Guy and Gal Challenge - with the sun breaking through the clouds just before the event got underway. The Wild South Team thoroughly enjoyed the day - with a fun time had by everyone involved (it was just an excuse to play in the mud really!)
A full update will be posted soon - so keep an eye out!
Also - tomorrow night - Tuesday 19th of August, there will be a VIP evening at our Ferrymead store here in Christchurch. If you would like to be one of the first to experience our Wild Winter Sale prices - sample some wine courtesy of Henry's Liquor, get a make-over from Beauty for You or get free Health and Fitness advice from Les Mills and Cycleways - then give our Ferrymead team a call to book a space (Ph: 03 3764205).

Well it was a day for the ducks today – the rain was pouring down for the Wild South fashion show and events at Rotorua - City Focus. Our models we keen and they braved the weather (racing through the obstacle course while they were at it!).

More FM were great, with regular shout-outs over the air, letting people know about our great specials in-store. The Tough Guy and Gal Challenge will definitely be a challenge for Richard and Paul, especially with all the rain! Thanks to all the brave people in Rotorua who came down in their lunch-hour to support us - our models appreciated the cheers they got!

8 August 2008
Well it has been a couple of weeks of wild weather - and it looks like there is more to come. It looks like it will be a weekend of watching the Olympics - or getting out there on the Mountain bikes and making the most of the mud!
Our factory workers are toughing it out today - while our heating gets upgraded - so they are keeping super busy to stay warm. We shot down to the embroidery machine before, and it was in full swing - stitching the new Merino tops that are soon to be in-store!

We had our photoshoot last week (after our very quick model search!) - and we were lucky enough to get two great "models" in the form of Matt and Amanda - who kindly took time out of their busy days to help us out. The shoot was great fun - with a mixture of wind and rain to really capture the essence of Wild South (to get out there and enjoy this great country of ours!)
We took along a happy snappy camera - to get a couple of shots for the blog, and hopefully more will follow soon!
